Subject outline
This subject is available to students who have already attained working competence in spoken and written Italian. In the subject students will broaden their knowledge of the structures and vocabulary of the Italian language through the study of written and audiovisual texts that serve to enhance the students' understanding of many of the foremost issues in Italian society today. In particular, the subject explores La Trobe's 'Global Citizenship' Essential, through the study of texts dealing with experiences of migration, cultural identity and transculturality in contemporary Italy. In this subject, students begin working towards attaining a level B2 competence in The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
