Subject outline

In this subject students develop knowledge, understanding and experience of flat water river environments in order to undertake safe living and travel. Students examine ways flat water canoeing may be utilised to explore the natural and cultural history, land management, hydrology and ecology of aspects of the Murray River catchment. Students develop technical expertise of flat water canoeing to enable safe exploration and promote experiential and interpretative knowledge of river environments.
