In this subject, students are introduced to the terminology, diseases, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures relating to each body system as well as to terms used in specialist areas of medicine, surgery, pathology, imaging, nursing and allied health.

01. Identify and define the meaning of a range of medical words, anatomical terms, acronyms and abbreviations that describe diagnostic, procedural and additional terms related to body structure, function and disease process.

02. Apply knowledge of medical word part definitions and their combinations, to correctly define, build and use medical terms in context.
