Subject outline

Thissubject is designed to develop students' critical thinking, writing and researchskills to contribute to an informed analysis of the role of values, ethics anddiversity in contemporary organisations. The concept of workplace diversity isintroduced and evaluated with particular regard to the most pressingdemographic issues in the Australian and global contexts. Through the use ofethical theories, the subject aims to develop students' abilities to re-frameorganisational practices and to include ethical considerations inorganisational decision-making. Frameworks and tools for managingdiversity and business ethics are introduced and critically evaluated. Thesubject is designed to meet principles 1-4 of the PRME principles.
