Subject outline

In this foundation level clinical practicum subject, students will develop basic clinical and patient handling skills in a supervised context within the Eye & Ear Hospital clinical school network. Students will also have an opportunity to travel and undertake non-metropolitain placements. At the end of the placement, it is expected that students will have developed skills to assess vision, various ocular structures, functions and pathologies within a clinical ophthalmology context. This subject will enable students to progress to the advanced Orthoptic Clinical Practicum subjects.
