Subject outline
In this subject students will be introduced to therapeutic approaches to urological and continence health care that includes pharmacological and complementary therapies. The emphasis will be on the development of knowledge and expertise in the promotion of continence and the management of people experiencing urinary and/or faecal incontinence across the life-span. The psychosocial impact of urological and continence disorders will also be explored. Students will have the opportunity to work closely with a continence nurse specialist in the clinical practicum for this subject.
