Subject outline
Leadership is a skill that is not only valued at an organizational/managerial level, but also as a personal skill in daily life. This subject examines the major theories and the current trends in the area of leadership. The application of these theories will be explored across a range of work-place contexts - large and small; profit and not-for-profit; government and non-government Students will be expected to become familiar with the leadership literature and to be able to interpret and critique this in relation to the Australian context and where possible, to their own work context as well. The course delivery is through face-to-face classes and online learning. Classes are interactive and will provide students with the opportunity to develop important university graduate capabilities through individual and team-based activity in the leadership field.
