Subject outline
In this subject student will gain an understanding of the issues involved in operating in an international business environment by actually visiting a country. Key issues to be examined are: the business environment of the country visited, the various entry modes available to foreign companies entering that country, that country's approach to conducting business and its concomitant management practices. Students will be exposed to businesses in the country visited and will have the opportunity to meet the business' managers. Generic skills will be developed that will allow students to be able to better operate in an international business environment. The course will be taught out of normal teaching weeks with a pre-departure session on Bundoora campus followed by a visit to the country itself, as well as a follow-up debriefing on return
