Subject outline

This subject introduces students to fundamental concepts of property law in Australia. This subject involves consideration of the notion of property and of proprietary interests with a focus on real and personal property. Students will learn about the concept of property, acquisition and regulation of title to property (including possession), title and ownership, the importance of relativity of title and the creation and enforceability of legal and equitable interests. Students will also receive an introduction to statutory schemes of registration of property interests.
