Subject outline
This subject positions the early childhood educator as an agent of diversity and inclusion. Teachers need to work with other teachers, support staff, families and children to ensure that every learner has the right to learn in a way that is appropriate for his or her own needs regardless of his or her gender, race language, ethnicity or learning challenges. In this subject Early Childhood teachers learn strategies to understand what inclusive practice means and how best to work with families and community to empower young children in their care.
