This subject is a core subject unique to the Bachelor of Commerce program. The subject offers Bachelor of Commerce students with a unique opportunity to choose from a number of work integrated learning (WIL) opportunities to take as a full credit subject. The WIL opportunities vary by discipline and a range of different types of WIL experiences are offered as different instances of this subject. Each WIL experience provides students with the opportunity to apply and develop the knowledge and skills that they have acquired throughout their course to a real or simulated work experience, generating learning through active engagement. This learning is supported by regular on-line and and face-to-face learning activities which provide students with the opportunity to talk with business and community leaders about the big issues facing business today. While the learning objectives of the subject are the same for all WIL instances, the assessment tasks required of the students may differ from one experience to another so as to reflect the learning experiences each WIL opportunity offers.
