Subject outline

This practicum unit takes place in the Psychology Clinic in the School and is viewed as an internal placement. As part of their internal placement candidates will work in the Clinic for approximately a 15-week period assessing and treating clients. The internal placement includes intake work, assessment and intervention with clients and administrative duties organised by the Clinical Director. The internal placement in the University Psychology Clinic will consist of two components - i) Adult placement (240 hours) and ii) Child and Adolescent placement (256 hours). Every student, in both the Masters and Doctoral programs, will be required to successfully complete both placements.
