Subject outline
In this second placement subject students will complete 250 hours of clinical training based at a mental health or other health care setting under the supervision of an onsite clinical practitioner. This placement is designed to meet the registration requirements of the Australian and New Zealand Arts Therapy Association (ANZATA). This placement is aimed to develop the student's skill base as a health professional as well as a clinician. As appropriate the student will be expected to engage with clients on an individual as well as group basis for art therapy. They are also expected to be involved where possible in the entry of case notes, participate in and contribute to case reviews and to educate placement colleagues about art therapy via, for example, presentations.
