In this subject students will gain a greater understanding of the nature of aquatic environment, chemical, biological and physical processes and how these may be unbalanced by human activity and subsequently affect human health. The main themes include water quality management, human health and water, ecology of aquatic environments, physical, chemical and biological treatments of water.
