Subject outline

In this subject students will refine their skills and knowledge necessary for competent practice as oral health therapists in a number of settings. The skills developed over the preceding two years will be integrated and refined in preparation for future graduate practice. Dental services will be provided to children, adolescents and adults in clinical settings. You will also work in non-clinical settings to providing oral health care, health education and undertaking health promotion. Oral health in an international perspective will be introduced. Presentation of case studies and discussion of treatment options and rationale is an important component of this subject.
