Subject outline
In this subject students will develop the knowledge and skills in the specialist practice area of lung cancer nursing. Key topics covered in this subject include: lung cancer the disease and its complications, targeted assessment and management of symptoms related to lung cancer, and current trends in the treatment and management of lung cancer. Emphasis will be placed on the pyschosocial care for the patient and family as well as the nurse's role in health education and promotion.
