Subject outline

In this subject students will explore nursing practice as it is related to the treatment and management of breast cancer along the genesis to death continuum. Complex issues related to sexuality, loss and grief and the provision of psychosocial support when nursing women with breast cancer will be critically examined. Students will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of a range of communication skills when caring for a woman with breast cancer and her family and carers.
