In this unit students undertake a minor thesis to the value of 60 credit points (MID5MTA & MID5MTB). Students are expected to present their work in progress in a research seminar program, held to assist students to access appropriate supervision and to foster research collegiality throughout the research process. If being undertaken offshore, workshops may be offered.

"Students enrolled in this subject must complete a total of 60 credit points (MID5MTA & MID5MTB) in order to satisfy the thesis component of this course. Students will be expected to maintain close contact with their supervisor and to participate in the research seminar program equivalent to one hour of classroom contact per week."
