This subject examines debates and issues concerning remuneration and performance management. It explores moves away from position-based pay towards performance-related remuneration, and also analyses the relationships between reward systems, employee participation, and organisational performance. The subject provides students with the critical and analytical tools to evaluate diverse performance and reward management systems in contemporary organisations across the corporate, not-for-profit and state sectors.
