Subject outline
In this subject, students will examine the challenges of designing high quality research projects. Students will consider the various decisions researchers must make about formulating research questions, what type of data is needed to investigate such questions and how the required data can be collected. Maintaining data quality given constraints of costs, time and research ethics will also be considered. Students will develop the skills and abilities to make sound decisions about their research. A special emphasis will be placed on optimising research designs by applying multiple methods to craft effective and efficient designs.
