Subject outline
In this subject, students will explore some of the key theories that shape our understanding of organisations and management practices. Management and organisation theory is a fragmented body of knowledge, drawing on a succession of a disparate and sometimes conflicting ideas to explain the complexities of organisational behaviour. This subject provides students with an overview management theory and research, through reading and critiquing the scholarly literature. The subject adopts a seminar format that emphasizes guided student discussions of both classical and contemporary articles.
