Subject outline
The importance of communication both within and outside the organisation from a management perspective is emphasised. Students examine how managers communicate with individuals and groups, and their need for significant oral and written skills. Topics include effective communication, intercultural communication conflict resolution and, negotiation, gaining and imparting information, written (including academic, reports, letters and electronic) communications, and oral presentations. Practical skills are developed throughout the course.
