Subject outline

In this subject students will examine those aspects of the law that specifically affect sport and leisure management. Specific areas of law that apply to sport and leisure to be covered include the law of non-profit sporting organisations, liability for sporting injury and damage, sport and media law, and sport and leisure marketing. The Trade Practices Act as well as other relevant legislation will be studied especially with regard to the implications for professional sport and community based leisure activities.
