Subject outline

In this subject students will survey the field, and then move quickly through an agenda that includes the film, television and music industries; brief coverage of first amendment and copyright issues; and some discussion of the roles played by agaents and managers. In addition, students will briefly examine some of the principal forms of contracts currently in use in the entertainment industries, as well as the treatment of credits and compensation, and the law of privacy and publicity rights.
