Subject outline
The subject is designed for the next generation of global lawyers whose practice is not limited to borders of their countries. Students will examine globalization issues related to the legal profession. With globalization of financial and capital markets, transactional lawyers must be prepared to handle cross-border and ethics issues when representing clients in international business transactions. Other lawyers represent diverse populations, including immigrants, with legal concerns that involve laws of other countries. The Internet also links people and businesses from around the world, resulting in a variety of cross-border entanglements.
