Subject outline
Following an introduction to the regulatory framework of company law in Hong Kong, students in this subject will examine the various amendments to the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 32) since its handover to China in 1997. Students will examine the proposals for the rewrite of the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 32), which is expected to culminate with a more user friendly legislation by 2010 and provide an overview of the regulation of listed companies in Hong Kong.
