Subject outline
Students in this unit will undertake a detailed examination of the major current issues in consumer law and policy, including scrutiny of new laws prohibiting unfair contract terms; the case for and against introducing these laws; new developments in misleading and deceptive and unconscionable conduct; emerging consumer issues in the global market, and, the interface of competition and consumer law. Students will be exposed to a multi-jurisdiction and a multi-disciplinary approach to the subject area.
