Credit points: 15
Subject outline
How do you start a research project? And where do top researchers get their ideas? How do they go about researching them in a rigorous, yet ethical manner? Students enrolled in The Emerging Research will be introduced to the practices of academic research, including formulating their own research question that has relevance to their own life and interests, searching for and critically assessing information and ethical considerations. Throughout the subject, students will have opportunities to meet and work with top researchers from La Trobe's research priority areas and learn more about the research being undertaken at La Trobe.
