Subject outline
In this subject, students will be introduced to some of the key concepts of contemporary literary studies by engaging in close and distant reading and making meaningful connections in comparative analysis from different parts of the world. The set texts contribute to debates on changes in literary form, challenge the formation of canons, and interrogate the involvement of literary texts in the construction of both a sense of the present and a relationship with the past.
