Subject outline

In this subject students will have the opportunity to build on the clinical skills attained, during the third year, in all areas of clinical practice pertaining to adult patients. During the year students will provide patients with removable prostheses, general restorative care, periodontal therapy and maintenance. Starting with simple endodontic cases, students will gain experience that will be further developed in the fifth year of the course. Students will become involved in adult exodontia and by the end of the year, all students will be able to provide patients with an indirect fixed restoration. Students will be on clinical placements in Mildura, Melton, Wodonga and Bendigo, on rotation, extending the academic year to 46 weeks.
