Subject outline
This is a research subject investigating the creative arts and industries, within Australia and internationally, including examples from cinema, theatre, radio, online media, television and publishing. With reference to established creative industries and cultural policy discourses, the students analyse how the creative arts are formed and refigured by policy formations and technological developments. The subject includes lectures from practitioners from a selection of creative arts and industries. Students select their own research topic, investigate the topic, produce a short annotated bibliography, design a research question, on which to base a final research report. Research findings are presented to the class in a seminar series.
