RESEARCH THESIS A

CSE5RTA

2014

Credit points: 60

Subject outline

Students undertake a research project across both CSE5RTA and CSE5RTB which is the equivalent of eight or nine months of continuous work under the supervision of a member of staff. At the end of the first part of the research project (CSE5RTA), each student will produce a literature survey on a topic relevant to bioinformatics or biometric security and will also present a Final Report which identifies a proposed research topic, specifying the problems to be solved and develop a research proposal with clear goals and milestones at a seminar. It is also expected that students will obtain some primary results which will be presented in their Final Report for CSE5RTA. A list of relevant research topics is available from the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering.
