Subject outline

Students undertake a supervised applied work program in a sponsoring organisation working on a contemporary real-world project in the discipline relevant to their Postgraduate Diploma (accounting, human resource management or marketing). Students will complete a 13-day placement in an industry identified through the SMART initiative. Working with an academic supervisor, they will define the nature and scope of the project to be completed. Students will present the results of their investigation in a major written report and in oral form. In addition, students will complete a short essay evaluating the learning experience. This is a 30 credit point unit and will require a significant commitment of time and effort.
