Subject outline
The unit begins by defining the nature of electronic commerce and examining some of the factors impacting upon the management of e-commerce. Students examine various approaches to the management of e-commerce and the application of various business strategies. In addition, the unit considers the law and its interface with information technology, especially computer networks and electronic commerce. The course examines some of the strategic issues for management, and looks at a range of management responses to the issues arising from the use of electronic commerce.
