Students gain a basic understanding of how computers and their peripherals work, and the application of this technology within the area of electronic commerce. Both hardware and software are covered, and there will be an emphasis on how each relates to the Internet and current business practices. Because this is an introductory unit, no assumptions about prior knowledge are made.
