Subject outline
This subject reviews basic math that some students may have forgotten, or have not covered in sufficent depth in their secondary schooling. The basic math taught will relate both to the world in which you live and will work, as well as assist you in satisfactorily completing your business degree program. All the applied problems are designed to simulate instances in real life where you would need these maths skills. The curriculum is also designed to complement the numerical demands of the business foundation subjects in a timely fashion, so as to provide you with the support you require to achieve the intended learning outcomes defined for the business foundation subjects and to meet the math benchmark required of a first year business student.
