In this unit students will study recent advances in proteomic and genomic technology in a laboratory based environment. They will study simple molecular biology and protein chemistry techniques together with state-of-the-art high power technologies such as mass spectrometry. They will learn how to analyze mass spectrometry data and using online data analysis software, identify unknown molecules.
