Subject outline
This subject provides students with an opportunity to conduct research on a topic of their interest. Students will work with an assigned supervisor to decide on a topic. The student will then be guided by the supervisor to complete a thorough review of the literature on the topic. During the course of the review, the student will be provided with opportunities to present their progress to a panel which includes their supervisor. It is expected that on successful completion of the subject, the student will have a piece of written work in a specified area that could potentially be published in a peer review journal such as Journal of Accounting Literature. Such a written piece of work can form the background for a thesis for the Master of Accounting Research Studies of PhD.
