Subject outline

The aim of this subject is to provide the student with an understanding of research in management accounting. Particular emphasis is placed on the social institutional and organisational contest of management accounting practices. Students will be challenged to think about the nature on influence of management accounting systems in organizations and society. The aims of the subject will primarily be achieved through a weekly program of "deep" reading, analysis and active discussion of selected published literature in management accounting and related areas.
