Students examine in depth the foundations of accounting concepts and practices from economic, social and political perspectives. The subject will cover the conceptual (structural) and empirical aspects of, and issues in accounting research, that helps students to assess the role of governance on the measurement, valuation and safeguard of assets that may lead to better reporting.
