Subject outline

In this subject students will explore the role of performance auditing in the public sector. Students will be introduced to the framework for performance auditing and the concepts of economy, efficiency and effectiveness, used to assess the practices of Australian public sector entities. The subject will draw on recent performance audit reports and examine a range of performance auditing techniques, placing emphasis on inputs, processes, outputs and outcomes.
