Subject outline

This subject develops inquiry, research and writing skills for graduating visual arts students. A Major Project is undertaken by each student that may involve a workplace/industry placement or other projects to be undertaken in consultation with the subject coordinator. A research project is undertaken by students in which they will be introduced to a soft evaluative methodology that facilitates a critical perspective of the initial project investigation plan and goals. An online journal reports and documents students' experiences and supports the Major Project final report. The subject is also designed to develop a professional approach to the presentation of artwork. The individual art practice developed by students over the degree program is to be presented as a professional e-portfolio. In order to facilitate a more accessible vehicle and to develop a professional profile, the subject will facilitate the production of an on-line portfolio.
