Subject outline
In this subject students will develop their understanding of indications for appropriate drug therapies. Authentic clinical cases and enquiry-based activities are used to develop the student's understanding of prescribing issues in commonly encountered conditions in the context of evidence-based practice. The pharmacokinectics, dynamics and prescription protocols for schedule 4 drugs of interest to the podiatrist are covered in detail. The adverse effects and potential complications of these drugs are also discussed.

Must be enrolled in one of the following courses: HZHPOD, HZHPDB,HZHPDS,HZHPDM,HZHPDW - Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Podiatric Practice.Or admission in HMPOD, HMPODB - Master of Podiatric Practice.
