Subject outline

The course provides insights into the modern problems in atmospheric physics at altitudes 0-100 km. Atmospheric composition and structure, greenhouse effect, stratospheric ozone chemistry, Antarctic ozone hole and its future trends, atmospheric radiation - scattering and absorption by molecules and aerosols, atmospheric dynamics - winds, tides and gravity waves, and phenomena of the upper mesospheric region are considered.
