Subject outline

The purpose of this subject is to extend your capacity to conceptualise, measure and discuss patterns of disease, risk and health-related conditions among populations. These are important in the development and understanding of evidence related to public health. With guest and expert presentations, we will review the use of publicly available health data, and published studies, to look at contemporary concepts and issues. Learning will be through investigating issues with an understanding of appropriate population statistics and research designs.
