Subject outline
In this subject, students will be required to develop their role as a clinical educator. The development will be focused toward teaching skills in the facilitation of learning in the clinical setting, structuring of formal and informal learning sessions such as a clinical demonstration, tutorial, seminar, simulation exercise and preparation of e-learning materials. Strategies to promote student directed learning will be presented. Assessment in the clinical context and the management of challenging behaviours.

Special conditions This subject will only run if sufficient enrolments are achieved. Students must provide evidence of approved health facility access to a minimum of 40-hours of supervised clinical experience that is commensurate with being able to achieve the clinical competencies of this subject.
