Subject outline

In this unit students are given the opportunity to implement evidence-based interventions in primary, secondary and tertiary settings for specific mental disorders that are relevant to the consumers life-stage. Mental health nurses are required to provide evidence-based treatment, rehabilitation and support services that prevent relapse and promote recovery. These treatments are provided across the lifespan and are delivered in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of individuals and their family.
