NSG3LTN

2014

Credit points: 15

Subject outline

The subject explores the relevant theory and practical issues surrounding the teaching and learning roles experienced by the nurse in the clinical environment. Students examine theories of teaching and learning and use these to analyse the teaching context and requirements of patients, families, student nurses, and colleagues. Skills and knowledge are developed in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation across a range of teaching and learning potentialities and a diversity of settings such as classrooms, clinical environments and community settings. Practical application is imbedded in the learning experiences and encouraged by the assessment requirements.
