Subject outline

Students build on their theoretical & practical understanding of TV production practices. In a series of participatory field exercises, class demonstrations, screenings & seminars students will explore a range of aesthetic approaches & production techniques relevant to drama & factual television programme production. Using a selection of accumulative production output from current & prior media related subjects, students will be required to work to a brief in creative teams to devise, write and produce a themed review style series for potential broadcast on community TV. The aim is to produce industry ready media professionals who have practical experience dealing with ethical issues, copyright and broadcasting standards in factual TV and identifying & writing for target audiences.
