This subject introduces students to the concepts and practices of remix as a way of recombining existing material to make something new. It focuses on the creative potential of remix from the points of view of both aesthetics and cultural engagements. Focusing particularly on the theory and practice of editing and montage, the subject builds on and develops to an intermediate level the knowledge and skills gained in Making Networked Culture, Exploring Media Arts, and Working with Words.
